The PADI Divemaster is a person who divers look up to, somebody divers can trust to make accurate judgements, somebody who shows exemplary diving skills, wears well maintained dive equipment with the offer of spare equipment to other divers, passes knowledge of dive theory effortlessly, handles logistics for student divers and fun divers and provides accurate dive briefings. The PADI Divemaster assists the dive operator with risk management offering rescue skills and prevention methods to reduce diver accidents and to act with common courtesy and ethnic role model behaviour at all time. PADI divers across the world are looking for very special individuals to help them choose their diving environment to gain the maximum benefit from every dive. |
PADI Divemaster Course Outlines |
A Divemaster will also be qualified to assist PADI Professional Instructors with student training. Instructors will need you to be attentive and supportive at all times and respect your piers. This will require you to adapt to different situations as they arise with different instructors so being flexible to individual needs is essential. During the PADI Divemaster Course at Pro-Tech candidates will learn through a combination of independent study, classroom, confined water and open water sessions. PADI IDC Assistant Instructor Course (AI) |
The IDC Instructor Development Course consists of two sections, the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program. You can complete these courses individually if schedules do not allow you to complete at the same time but the majority will complete the whole IDC at the same time. The first part of the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is the PADI Assistant Instructor course. PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) |
The Open Water Scuba Instructor program makes up the second part of the IDC and further perfects your leadership and teaching skills to prepare you for life as a PADI Instructor. For further information check out the PADI IDC page Open Water Scuba Instructor Course Prerequisites: You must have a minimum of 100 logged dives to become a PADI Instructor (though you can begin training as one with 60 logged dives).

EFRI Emergency First Response Instructor |
The courses emphasize hands-on skills practice and demonstrations while learning how to motivate students, present course material confidently and effectively and how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience. Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses.
